As an actor, Thomas Hildreth played the lead role in Islander to critical praise and Mr. Smith Gets a Hustler (also directed by Ian McCrudden), playing the contract killer Jack, opposite Larry Pine. He also played Mr. Wood in Pawn to a King, opposite Ron Canada, and Here Dies Another Day (starring John Randolph).
Hildreth has made numerous television appearances, including 24, Numbers, Dharma & Greg, and several daytime dramas.
On stage, Hildreth has starred in Lights Up on the Fade Out and The Invested, where he played the ruthless CEO Bill Enoch, opposite Christina Haag. Thomas was directed by Michael Greif in The Caucasian Chalk Circle and appeared in Mac Wellman’s Sincerity Forever (world premiere) at the Berkshire Theatre Festival, The American Clock by Arthur Miller (directed by Austin Pendleton) at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, John Guare’s Moon Over Miami (world premiere), opposite Nathan Lane, Widows by Ariel Dorfman (world premiere) and The Devil’s Disciple, opposite Richard Thomas and Patricia Clarkson. Hildreth starred in the revival of Jean Paul Sartre’s The Respectful Prostitute at HERE in New York City.
As a member of The Classical Theatre Lab in LA, Hildreth appeared in Joan of Arc (directed by Ron Maxwell) as well as productions of Hamlet, Othello, Measure for Measure, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Iliad, The Tempest, Cymbeline and The Ideal Husband.
Thomas attended Connecticut College, New York University, and received an MFA from Rutgers University. He lives in Los Angeles and New York with his wife and three small children.
